Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Falajo collects through falajo.com and the ChequeMinder pilot, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions: [email protected].
Who we are
ChequeMinder is a product of Falajo, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Falajo is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect on this website
- Pilot list: the email address you enter, the date you joined, and how you found us (see below).
- Demo and import test: no personal data. The demo runs on fictional data in your browser. A file you drop into the import test is read inside your browser and is not sent to us; we only count, anonymously, that the demo was finished or an import test completed (see below).
- Technical logs: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request data to deliver and protect the site.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not sell or rent personal data.
Visit counts and sign-up source
- Page views and clicks: we count visits to our pages, and a few actions on the ChequeMinder pages (clicking “Join the free pilot”, sending the pilot form, finishing the demo, completing an import test), as anonymous daily totals: the page or action, the site you came from (for example linkedin.com) and any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source or ref). We use no cookies, store nothing new in your browser, and do not store your IP address or browser details, so a count cannot be linked to you.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: our host, Cloudflare, also counts page views and page load times on the public pages of falajo.com, using its Web Analytics service. Since 24 October 2026 it does not load on the SoloBooks app pages (/solobooks/app/ and /solobooks/review-desk/). It sets no cookies and uses no local storage, and Cloudflare states it does not fingerprint visitors or track them across sites. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.
- Pilot sign-ups: with your email we keep the campaign tags, the site you came from and the first page you landed on, so we know which channels work. To remember this between our pages, your browser keeps it in session storage (not a cookie) until you close the tab.
- Welcome email: when you join the pilot list we send you one welcome email and record whether it was sent. Reply “unsubscribe” at any time and we will remove your address.
Data you load during a pilot or subscription
If your agency runs a pilot, you send us your cheque register. It typically contains tenant names, unit references, landlord names, cheque numbers, drawer banks, dates, amounts and statuses, plus the names of the team members who use the service. We ask only for what the register needs, and we never ask for copies of Emirates IDs, passports or cheques.
For this data, your agency decides what is collected and why; Falajo processes it only to provide ChequeMinder to your agency. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to share your tenants' and landlords' details with us. On request, we sign a short data processing agreement with your agency before you send any real file.
- Each agency has its own separate account. No agency can see another agency's data.
- Access inside Falajo is limited to what is needed to set up and support your account.
- You can export all your data, including the change history, in CSV at any time.
- When you ask, or when you stop using the service, we delete your agency's data within 30 days.
Why we use it
- To contact you about the pilot you asked to join (your request).
- To provide the service your agency signed up for (the agreement with your agency).
- To keep the site and the service secure (our legitimate interest).
Where it is stored
The site and its database run on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which may process data outside the UAE. Cloudflare acts as our service provider under its data processing terms. We will tell pilot agencies before adding any other provider that handles their data.
How long we keep it
Pilot list emails: until you ask us to remove yours, and at most 24 months. Agency data: for as long as your agency uses ChequeMinder, then deleted within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to stop us contacting you, by writing to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. These rights reflect the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects agencies running a pilot or a subscription, we email them before it applies.
