Do I pay UAE Corporate Tax on income from foreign clients?

Depends on the details: keep good documents

In short: Usually yes: a UAE company pays Corporate Tax on all its income, including fees from foreign clients. If you work as an individual, foreign income counts only when it is linked to your business in the UAE.

The basic rule

A UAE resident company pays Corporate Tax on income from the UAE and from abroad. Tax already paid abroad on that income can reduce the UAE tax (official term: Foreign Tax Credit), but never by more than the UAE tax due on that income.

How safe is it?

Depends on the details: keep good documents Medium: the frequent error is believing foreign income is out of scope.

When to ask a professional

Ask if foreign tax was withheld, or if you may also be tax resident elsewhere. Who can confirm it for your own case: an FTA-registered tax agent (a tax professional approved by the UAE tax authority), or the optional year-end review in SoloBooks.
